St. Louis College Valenzuela celebrates its 25
years as an educational institution in February, 2003. The celebration was
officially announced by SLCV President, Mr. Raymond O. Luciano during the inauguration of
the Agnes O. Luciano Multi-Purpose Gym held last October 18, 2002. It was a
privilege to have as guest speaker, Dr. Amelia Biglete, Director IV of the Commission on
Higher Education, NCR. She lauded the administration for their contribution in
educating the youth and expressed her commendation for the school facilities particularly
the newly constructed multi-purpose gym as it would provide a favorable environment for
student development.
The department heads composed of College Dean Roseline P. Vicente, Finance
Officer Ms. Myrna T. Estrella, High School Principal Mr. Edelberto C. de Jesus, and
Executive Officer Ms. Zenaida S. Andres welcomed the other guests. Among them were
Cong. Magtanggol Gunigundo (Representative of the 1st District of Valenzuela), Dr.
Aquilina Rivas and Dr. Andres Leabres (Superintendent and Asst. Superintendent of the
Division of City Schools of Valenzuela) and other school heads and local officials.
On the other hand, the occasion was a homecoming for some alumni. Members of the HS
Family Circle were also invited.
The Vice President, Ms. Cheryl Lynn O. Luciano, Chairman of the
Board Atty. Domingo C. Luciano and Treasurer and Registrar Atty. Marie Eleanor
Luciano-Ruelo lead the assembly in the unveiling of the marker that dedicated the
multi-purpose gym to the late President, Mrs. Agnes O. Luciano.
The SLCV vision and mission clearly defines its purpose, but the devotion
of people who served unselfishly coursed its direction which now serves as its strongest
foundation. |
