RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Announcements and Notices
Announcements are issued by the office regularly regarding the school activities and academic program. Listen attentively so you can relay the message to your parents. All announcements are important. Your teacher or the assigned class officer can post them on one side of the blackboard in your classroom to remind you. However, we should also train ourselves to remember well important details.
2. Assemblies and Programs
We always gather for a good purpose, to learn, enjoy and cultivate new friends. During assemblies and programs, you are given assigned places to stay. Your teacher adviser shall be your guide. Do not grab a seat. If chairs are provided, always reserve a seat for your teacher. when parents and visitor are invited, offer them your seats as a gesture of respect and courtesy. Observe silence during the program. When it is called for to clap and cheer, do so appropriately without howling. To jostle or call particularly by unsavory names is to be unkind and impolite. Do not walk around or leave the assembly while the program is going on. Go to the comfort room before the program starts so you will not be disturbed. When the program is finished for your turn in leaving the place. Do not push or pull other people and rush out which may cause untoward incident.
We always come on time during assemblies and programs. There are specified activities wherein attendance is a must. Active particular in school activities is encouraged to help you develop a well-rounded personality. Come in the proper attire or in the prescribed uniform. Parents are notified regarding schedule and preparations for the particular assemblies especially if it goes beyond the regular time for dismissal or those held during the weekends. The school hymn is sung at the beginning of all assemblies as a demonstration of pride and loyalty to your school to your St. Louis College Valenzuela.
3. Attendance and Absences
3.1 A regular attendance is important if you want to learn much, and the easy way. Leave the house early to have enough time allowance for traffic and be able to arrive on time for the flag ceremony.
3.2 If you will absent, notify your Teacher Adviser and give the reason and probable date of your return. You may send her a note or call us by phone. (Tel. 292-68-54)
3.3 The office will notify your parents in case you are absent for 3 consecutive days and no explanation has been received by the teacher adviser.
3.4 You are considered dropped form the enrolment if you have incurred 20% of the days during the school year.
3.5 Absentees must, upon returning to school, accomplish the excuse letter and present it to your teacher signed by your parents or guardian. Prior notice is considered as excuse letters.
3.6 Excuse from class may be granted only by the Coordinator on Discipline and only for the most compelling reasons.
3.7 Excuse from the class due to illness will not be granted without the recommendations of the School Nurse.
3.8 Pupils may not leave the classroom during class hours unless sent by the Principal, Assistant Principal or Coordinators. They are not considered absent from the class. They may be re-admitted to class upon presentation of the admission slip.
3.9 If a pupil goes to the clinic and he is not recommended to be excused from class, he gets an "admit to class" slip from the School Nurse and returns immediately to class.
4. Attire, Hairstyle and Tattoos.
Modesty, simplicity and appropriateness should be your basis in choosing your styles.
Hair-dying and tattooing are unbecoming for young boys and girls, so that it is prohibited. Remember that modesty is a quality of a , Louisian if your inspiration is Mother Mary.
5. Birthday Celebration
Birthday Celebrations are allowed. However, it must secure from the principal's Office. Preparations must be simple so that classes will not be disturbed. You can serve during recess, lunch or dismissal time.
6. Bulletin Boards
The Bulletin boards contain your best work and important information and reminders. Regularly visit and read the announcements for your information and guidance. for any exhibit of pictures or best work, feel proud of the work of others by not tampering or destroying them.
7. Care of Classroom
The school is your second home. It is your duty to keep it clean and orderly at all times. Keep your chairs clean and free from any writing, coloring or curving. Always carry the chairs when moving them. Arrange your books, bags and lunchboxes in their designated places.
There are no waste cans in the classroom. It is your responsibility to provide your bags where you can keep your wastes and bring them home for disposal. You can also throw them in the waste can at designated places around the building.
The classroom is a place for study. Playing inside the classroom is strictly prohibited. Take good care of all equipment in the classroom. They are important resources for your learning experience. So, for anything lost or destroyed, anyone responsible should replace it. It should also be reported to the adviser immediately. Eating inside the classroom is allowed especially when it is raining. Always keep your place clean after eating. Bring home leftover foods your pets.
Teachers are your guardians in school. Let us show our respect for them by not sitting on their table. We also ask permission before getting anything from table. after each period, clean the board, shake the eraser and wipe the teacher's table in preparation for the next subject. Turn off the lights and electric fan before leaving the room. A healthy and clean environment is conducive to learning. Contribute to the general welfare of your class by participating in the daily cleaners.
8. Corridors
Walk along the corridors not more than two abreast. Do not gather in groups along the corridors that may cause inconvenience to passers-by. Greet your administrators, teachers and visitors whom you meet on your way. the corridors are closest to the classrooms so we should walk quietly and speak in low modulated voice so we may not disturb those who are studying. Keep the corridors clean. Take the initiative to pick up any litter and throw them in the trash can. On rainy days, be extra careful because the floor is slippery when wet. Walk, don't run.
9. Examination Permits
The schedule of the exams is posted one month ahead. This will give you enough time to settle your accounts. Statements of accounts are issued two weeks before the exams for your information and guidance. The policy of "no permit", "no exam" shall be applied.
10. Flag Ceremony
You are the young Filipino citizens being trained and prepared to lead and serve in the future. Develop your patriotism by showing respect to the Philippine flag. Stand at attention during the flag raising and flag retreat ceremonies. Participate actively in the singing of our national anthem and in reciting the pledge and prayer. The school hymn will be sang every Monday during the flag raising. The raising. The Principal or Coordinators regularly make announcements after the ceremony. Listen attentively. If you arrive late while the ceremony is going on, do not join the line formation.
11. Jeep Service
Most of you have jeep services. They pick you up from your houses and take you to school everyday. Show your respect to your drivers and co-riders by ready and on time when they arrive to fetch you. also, show your kindness and concern for the younger riders by arranging your bags to allow enough space for everyone. Do not play or shout inside the vehicle avoid accident.
12. Jewelry and Toys
In school, you should learn to keep and secure your personal belongings. In order to avoid loses of valuables, you are only allowed to wear wristwatch and simple earrings for the girls. Likewise, toys are prohibited because it is very tempting to play with them during class hours. Often also cause some pupils to quarrel over them.
13. Junk Foods
Good health contributes a lot to your total well-being. If you are healthy then you can study well, enjoy the company of your friends and save your parents from worries of serious ailments. that is why, we do not allow you to eat junk foods and soft drinks and instead encourage you to eat more nutritious foods that will make you grow and glow.
14. Late Exams
Late examinations are given to pupils with reasonable cause. This is given only within one week after regular schedule.
15. Lesson Proper
We come to school to learn and it is important that we develop the discipline to listen and pay attention to ours teachers and classmates during the discussion. This is a good practice for self-control. When called upon to recite, stand properly and project your voice clearly for everybody to hear. We express our courtesy to our classmates who reciting by not laughing at his mistakes. we raise our hands properly if we know the answer in a question without shouting to get the teacher's attention. Always answer in complete sentence. If not called to recite, sit up straight, and remain in your seat. During writing activity, tests or copying assignments, remain quiet so that you will not miss any instruction. when submitting work to your teacher, fall in line and always stay behind the last boy to show respect to the rule "first come, first serve".
16. Line Formation
Be alert when you hear the bell signals and be prompt in reporting to your assigned place in the line formation. You are expected to observe silence after the first bell signal and maintain a straight line whether you are stationary or moving along the corridors. Observing the rules in the line formation is a good opportunity in developing self-control.
17. Playground
We have exclusive areas for you to play, rest and stroll. It has a landscape for a refreshing environment. Play with care. If any accident occurs, report to the clinic or office immediately. Also, take good care of the plants. Do not pick flowers. They were cultivated to give beauty to our surroundings.
18. Promissory Notes
Parents or guardians must secure personality a promissory note if they have problems of settling their accounts. Letters or phone calls are not accepted.
19. Punctuality
You should develop the habit punctuality early in life. Coming on time for class, assemblies and programs is expected of every Louisian. Always give allowance to heavy traffic so that you will arrive on time. When we respond immediately to the bell signals, we also demonstrate our discipline for punctuality.

You are late when you come after the flag ceremony.

For five (5) records of tardiness, your Teacher Adviser will notify your parents and seek for their assistance to help you prepare early for school.

For the succeeding (5) five times more of tardiness, your parents will be invited for conference with the teacher adviser to discuss its effect on your deportment and academic standing.

20. Reply Slips
All activities concerning schoolworks are communicated to your parents and guardians through letters. It is your responsibility to give these letters immediately to your parents and guardians for their information and guidance. Always remember that the home and the school are both concerned over your welfare. Therefore, you should do your role of keeping the communication constant. always return the reply slips to your teacher adviser.
21. School Bell
The school bell reminds us of the time. If everybody learns to follow the bell signals, it will promote efficiency and orderliness.
Our bell signals are as follows:
The first signal tells the time. It tells you to fall in the line quietly. The second bell tells you to observe complete silence. The third bell tells you to start with the ceremony. The fourth bell tells you to proceed to your classroom or at the gate. A very long bell means emergency. Listen for instructions from your teachers as to signal what to signal dismissal time. You should fall in line and prepare yourself for the flag retreat. After ceremony, go directly to your jeep service.
