HRM Louisians Qualified in the Finals of the 2010 Goldilocks Cake
Decorating Contest

For a 4th consecutive year, our Hotel &
Restaurant Management students qualified for the Finals of the
Goldilocks Cake Decorating Contest.
Heartiest congratulations to The Finals Team, composed of Marriane
Eugenio, Kenneth Fajurano, Kenneth Ganuelas and Joysa Belita Que; led by
their energetic rookie coach, Ms. Ana Fe Apistar for such an amazing
feat. Their winning entry, "Tea Party" features elaborate lace and china
patterns and colorful stacks of cupcakes. "Tea Party" was chosen over "Sarimanok"
and "The Galleon" among our school’s entries.
This year’s competition chose finalists from over 90 entries submitted
by top schools from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Our team will battle 9
other schools LIVE! Cheer on our Louisians, keep them in your prayers
for the Finals on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at the SMX Convention Center
beside SM Mall of Asia.

What We Should Learn From
Contests and Competitions
Or Why
We Do Not Have a School Bus Yet
|
|
We are very proud of what our students are accomplishing on the
national stage. This year, we had 6 grade and high school levels
participating in the MTAP/DECS math competition (NCR) and we also
have students qualified for the National Quiz Bee and even the
Palarong Pambansa. Our participation in competitions beyond
Valenzuela and CAMANAVA are truly inspiring -- going from one or two
a few years back to the half dozen last year and to the one dozen
this year.
It is a fairly recent though accelerating phenomenon which is why it
may be opportune to explain our reason for joining such contests.
It also explains why, even with all our achievements, we still have
no official school transportation unlike the other schools typically
present in regional and national competitions.
